Hi friends, today I have a card to share with you that I created to send to my niece. Most of the cards I create are to send to family and friends far away, so I typically don’t have beads, sequins, or ribbon bows on the cards for decoration. Instead, to create a bit of interest I will use dimensional adhesive to lift up some of the elements. Such is the case with today’s birthday card. The idea started with the little cat stamp and the piece of teal blue patterned paper. I have found it is best to start with a piece of paper you like, then pull in other colors and elements that work with that paper. This way you can blend products from many different manufacturers together and they look great together. For instance, I used a pattern paper from My Mind’s Eye, solid card stocks from Stampin Up, stamps from Hero Arts and Simon Says Stamp, and Copic coloring markers.
Take a look at the video below to see the techniques I used, products, paper elements and their dimensions, and the method for putting it all together. There is so much more information in there than I can jot down here.
I hope that you enjoyed this card as much as I did creating it. My wish is that you will use this as a jumping off point for your own artistic creations. Have a wonderful day and God Bless!
