Hi friends! I’m not sure if you noticed but it’s been a long time since I have posted a project. I really lost my mojo for a while. I’m not sure how often I’ll be posting, but I promise I will try to check in more regularly! This card is for my husband who recently celebrated his birthday. I wanted a simple design with masculine colors, but this simple yet pleasing layout can be used for literally any occasion. The design is CASEd from www.making-birthday-cards.com, thanks guys!
All the paper I used is from Stampin’ Up. I chose Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, and Night of Navy for the solids, and Park Lane and English Garden for the patterns. I started by first choosing a big print for the background, found a smaller print for the horizontal stripe, and then anchored both of those with solids than seemed to hold it all together. I just played around with colors until it felt right. Trust your gut!
The stamp is from Hero Arts, #C5650, and I inked it up with Stampin’ Up Soft Suede ink. The blue layer with the sentiment was raised up on some foam dots.
Check out the video below for more details and to see how it all came together. This was a fast and easy one! Hope you enjoyed this card, and I hope you have a wonderful and crafty day!
