This card was inspired by some large pinwheels Katrina and I made for workshop door prizes. Summer and pinwheels just seem to go together, don’t you think? This would be perfect for birthdays, or any special occasion. The pinwheels are made with a square of Designer Series Paper (DSP). I used a 1 1/4 inch square for the two larger pinwheels, and a 1 inch square for the smaller blue one. Make cuts from the four corners toward the center, but not all the way in to the middle, then fold four alternating corners in toward the center. I placed a glue dot in the center to give the points something to adhere to. I folded the paper points flat, but with larger pinwheels you’ll want to leave the folded inward points with a little curve to catch the breeze. Once I had folded the points, I finished the centers with a rhinestone. Toothpicks are glued with a thin stripe of Tombow Mono Multi Glue. Hope your summer is lots of fun and that you’re staying cool!
