Stampin’ Up Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas Card

December 18, 2013 By Julia Carmichael 3 Comments

Stampin Up Have Yourself 1Today’s card is a result of a bunch of trial and error. I was trying to go for an evergreen look, or holly  maybe, but working with what tools I have, this is what I came up with. First I started with a card base that is a little smaller than usual, 4 3/4″ x 7 1/2″, so that the folded card measures 3 3/4″ x 4 3/4″. The piece of brown card stock is 3″ x 4″. To allow room for the leaves, I stamped the sentiment in the lower right corner using craft white ink. Then I took the edge of the ink pad and swiped it along the edges of the paper. I’ve seen this done on black cardstock for a chalkboard look. Once that was fully dry, I cut three of the Little Leaves branches and arranged them at the top corner of the paper. I played around with their positioning, trimming off a few leaves so the sentiment wasn’t covered up, and glued them down. The berries were punched using a hole punch, and I added a simple linen thread bow to the top corner. The panel is raised up on foam adhesive. Thanks for stopping by today!

Where did the stamp come from? I have looked through my Stampin’ Up catalog and can’t find it? Would love to recreate this card!

Hi Kim, this card was from a blog post last Christmas so that stamp is no longer available from the Stampin’ Up catalog, but you may be able to find it on Ebay. The stamp set is called “Merry Little Christmas”. Good luck!
