Hi! This is a card I made for my husband’s recent birthday, and I made a bunch more for the men in our family. When I come up with a design that I really like, I make a few to put aside for upcoming events. That way I’m ready and no stress! This card uses a retired set called You’re My Type. It has the typewriter image and six different sentiment stamps that fit nicely on the sheet of typing paper. If you ever want to purchase older retired Stampin Up stamp sets, check out Ebay, there are so many sets and other Stampin Up products available all the time.
The paper comes from the Comfort Café Designer Series Paper pack. I love this collection of papers because there are designs that lend themselves nicely to masculine cards, which are sometimes harder to find, as well as florals for the ladies.
To make the card, cut a piece of Soft Suede card stock in half, and fold. Stamp the typewriter on a scrap of Very Vanilla using Soft Suede ink, and then stamp your sentiment of choice on the typing paper part of the image using Midnight Muse ink. Fussy cut around the image and set aside. Cut four pieces of patterned paper measuring 2 x 2 5/8 inches. Using your SNAIL tape runner, adhere to the front of the card. Place the typewriter in the center of the card using Stampin Dimensionals adhesive. On the inside of the card, adhere a piece of Very Vanilla card stock measuring 4 x 5 1/4 inches. Stamp on the inside of the card if you wish.
Hope you’re staying healthy this winter!
