Good morning! There is a lot going on in this card, so I’ll take it in steps. First, this is a standard 4 1/4 X 5 1/2 inch card in Whisper White. I taped a strip of Designer Series Paper from the Candlelight Christmas pack on the left, and stamped the snowflake design randomly on the right side using Lucky Limeade. This snowflake stamp comes from the Mixed Medley Hostess set. A narrow strip of paper from the Festival of Prints, mounted on a strip of Cherry Cobbler paper, is stuck down the middle. Then I ran it through the Big Shot using the Holiday Ornament Framelit. At the center, it is quite thick so the framelit had a little trouble there and didn’t cut all the way through. I just finished it up with an exacto knife in those areas. Then I tacked a small bit of window sheet to the backside to create the window. I then covered the inside of the card front with another piece of Whisper White with an ornament cut out, but let me tell ya, this took some doing to get it lined up so the paper was straight (it’s slightly crooked, but oh well, it’s hand made after all). Finally, I stamped the bit of holly berry (it’s supposed to be mistletoe, but those berries are white so I made it holly instead with red berries) and the “merry” greeting, and punched it out with a 1″ circle punch. I covered the circle on the inside with another circle stamped from the Ornament Keepsakes set, and added the holly again on the inside of the card. Whew, it took a while but I hope this inspires you to use what you have on hand to create a special card for a special person. Have a great day!
P.S. Happy Birthday Katrina!
