One of the things I have loved about the paper crafting I have been doing these past two years is the fun I’ve had with watercolors and painting the stamped images. This Watercolor Winter set is made for this! When watercoloring, it actually looks better when done a little randomly. You don’t have to fill in to the edges of the lines, and if it goes outside the lines a little, even better! I love that. The panel was 3″ x 4″ when I began, then I eyeballed where to cut it into thirds after I was done painting. Use an aqua painter if you have one, it makes switching between colors a lot easier (squeeze and blot into a tissue until the water becomes clear), but a small paintbrush works too. Pick up your ink colors from the inside lid of the ink pad, after squeezing it a couple times, or if you don’t have an ink pad of the color you want, you can use your markers by swiping it across a clear block and then picking up your ink there. What you can’t see well in the photos is that each of the three panels is raised up on Stampin’ Dimensionals. It gives it a nice lift off the background. Happy Friday! I’ll have another week of Christmas cards for you on Monday.
