Hi friends! Easter is really early this year – March 27th! With less than two weeks until Easter, it’s time to put up a couple Easter card ideas. Today I made a fairly simple, almost one-layer card for you. I started by stamping the flower in Old Olive and Calypso Coral inks, then on a piece of vellum I heat embossed the simple sentiment “He Lives”. One tricky thing about working with vellum is that it is transparent, which makes choosing adhesives difficult because you can see the adhesive. The way I get around this is making sure I have something to hide the adhesive behind. These letters are fairly thin, so I chose a thin glue called Diamond Glaze. With the pointed nozzle, I was able to lay down very thin lines of adhesive on the backs of the letters. It was a quick card to make, perfect for making a bunch for sending to relatives and friends. Happy Easter!
