Mother’s Day Floral Handmade Card

Mother's Day Floral 4Hey everyone! Mother’s Day is May 8th this year, and here is a beautiful card to make your mom, or someone you know who is a mom. The design comes from Teresa Kline at Paperie Blooms. Thanks, Teresa! Begin with a floral or pretty patterned paper, and another coordinating patterned paper with a smaller design, then choose your paper colors from there. I took the pale blue and green, plus the bright pink, and used those for my paper and ink colors. Use the materials you have on hand, and you will find yourself ordering less and less new products. Another cost saving tip is to make two or more of a card when you sit down to craft. I have a stash of these “duplicates” on hand in my drawer for when a sudden need arises. I haven’t had to go out to buy a card in several years!

I used Stampin’ Up’s English Garden patterned paper set, with the stamped flower from the Flower Patch set. I found the sentiment in a set of Hero Arts holiday sentiments called Celebrate Everyday. I stamped the sentiment in Tip Top Taupe, one of Stampin’ Up’s “in-colors” for the year. I love neutrals so this is my favorite of the bunch. Check out the video tutorial below for all the details on how it is made. Have a wonderful day!
