This card is one I will be giving to a good friend who is turning 50 soon. Hopefully she won’t see this post! I got the basic design layout from a Mojo Monday sketch challenge. I have found these challenges to be a fun way to get my creative juices flowing. The patterned papers come from the Print Poetry Designer Series Paper stack. It’s full of beautiful prints to launch your card designs. It is a little hard to see in the photos, but the center white square is embossed using an embossing folder from the Holiday Catalog, Lacy Brocade. This adds a nice pattern while keeping it clean looking. Sponging the punched shape in a coordinating color ink and popping it up with dimensionals allows it to stand out from the background, but blend well all at the same time.
