Stampin Up Christmas 2012 Series – Day 21, Christmas Trees Card

December 3, 2012 By Julia Carmichael Leave a Comment

Hi All! Sometimes simple cards turn out the best, and I think this one may be my favorite so far this series. I played around with cutting triangles of paper until I achieved the tree shapes I wanted, then added a hill for them to sit on. This cute little tag was cut using a Decorative Label punch. See the photos below for how to do it. The idea for this tag came from Dawn Olchefsky, thanks Dawn! I punched out two holes on the tag and threaded Baker’s twine through and around the card to finish it off. I hope you like it!

Paper: Crumb Cake (#120953), Lucky Limeade (#122926), Early Espresso (#119686), Very Vanilla (#101650), Festival of Prints Designer Series Paper Stack (#126904)

Ink & Etc.: Cherry Cobbler Ink Pad (#126966), Baker’s Twine in Cherry Cobbler (#123125), Rhinestone Basic Jewels (#119246), Decorative Label Punch (#120907), 3/16″ Corner Punch (#119871), 1/16″ Circle Handheld Punch (#101227), Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430)

Stamp Set: Joyous Celebrations (#128069)

To make the mini punch using the Decorative Label Punch, first stamp your sentiment. It has to be small, no more than about 1″ x 1/2″.

Punch out the sentiment, lining it up on the end of the Decorative Label Punch.

Turn it around and punch again on the side of the Decorative Label Punch.

Voila!
