Hey there! I decorated the house the other day for Christmas, and here’s something I did in our hallway. We have a 3 foot high fake evergreen tree with lights in our hallway, and I decorate it at different times of year for various holidays or seasons. Recently, for fall/Thanksgiving, I had a garland of fake autumn leaves and berries wound through it. I took that apart a couple days ago and dressed it up for Christmas. I added the fake berry garland (have you noticed the “fake” theme?) and small round ornaments. Then I remembered that I have been working on gift tags for my Christmas presents using the Color Me Christmas set, and thought to myself, hey those could be cute ornaments. So they are gracing the tree until I need them for gifts. They were easy to make, each tag is one piece of decorative paper cut in a larger shape, and two pieces of white paper, cut in the same shape but a little smaller. One side has the cute stamped image, and the other side is stamped with To: From:. I have colored these little guys with Copic markers. I resisted Copics for a long time due to the cost, but in the end the gorgeousness – is that a word? – of the colors won me over. I really can’t tell you how beautiful the effect is, photos don’t do it justice. Just a few shades of each color gives you the ability to blend color which gives the illusion of 3 dimensionality and depth. Hope you’re having a good month, don’t go too crazy!
