Hey there, I made this card for my nephew who has a birthday coming up. It uses some retired products so I will only list catalog numbers for those items you can find in the current catalog. The shape that the cupcake is mounted on is from the Apothecary Accents Framelits set, which has four great shapes for adding interest to your cards or scrapbooking. This card is a good candidate for putting in the mail because it’s flat and does not have hard objects like buttons to cause postal problems. The heart on the top of the cupcake was cut out from the Owl Builder punch, then I added some Crystal Effects to give it a little glossy-ness.
For the cupcake, I wanted it to pop off the background so to achieve that I stamped two cupcakes on a scrap of white card stock, one in blue and one in pink. I cut the blue cupcake, frosting and candle out and set aside. Then on the pink cupcake, I cut out just the frosting, then taped it on top of the blue frosting on the other cupcake. Another way to achieve this look would be to use your markers to color the stamp, give it a good huff for moisture, then stamp. When done, I put a dimensional adhesive dot on the back and placed it on my white shape. Hope you enjoy!
