I have a friend Michelle, who got me started on my Stampin’ Up habit, and she lends me all kinds of great products to try out. That way I don’t have to buy everything! I hope you have a friend or two who you can share supplies with, it really helps the budget. Anyway, she most recently lent me the Autumn Accents Bigz die. I cut out a few leaves and messed around with them for a while and came up with this layout. The maple and aspen leaves are heavily crumpled, then sponged with orange and red inks. I also stamped the maple leaf with a background script stamp. The oak leaf is embossed with a wood grain. I punched a hole in each leaf and threaded them on the linen thread, then added the button and tied a bow. It was all a bit heavy and floppy, so I added glue dots here and there for stability. The backdrop for the leaves is a 2 1/2″ x 4″ panel of paper from the Sweater Weather paper collection. For the sentiment, I inked up the word Thankful with my Chocolate Chip marker and stamped. Hope you like it and thanks for stopping by!
